The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has accelerated the development of autonomous weapon systems capable of making decisions without direct human intervention. While these technologies may improve military efficiency and operational accuracy, they also raise serious ethical, legal, and humanitarian concerns. This article examines the ethical dimensions of Artificial Intelligence in autonomous weapons, focusing on accountability, human control, decision-making transparency, and compliance with international humanitarian law. The study analyzes the risks associated with autonomous lethal systems, including unintended civilian casualties, algorithmic bias, cybersecurity threats, and the reduction of human responsibility in warfare. Furthermore, the paper discusses international debates and regulatory initiatives aimed at ensuring the safe and responsible use of AI-driven military technologies. The research emphasizes the necessity of establishing ethical frameworks, legal regulations, and global cooperation to prevent misuse of autonomous weapons and to preserve human values in modern warfare.
